Which is the more responsible person?
the one who borrows money to feed their own desires or the one who does without and gives more so the loan can be paid back?

last I checked about a third of our taxes were used to pay the intrest on out federal debt, so we were already paying a third more taxes than needed simply because those in power couldn't say no to their spending of our money. This was before the Bush fear wars that have more than trippled our debt load. By this figuring we will now owe %100 of our taxes to servicing the debt leaving nothing for other programs, unless we increase our taxes by two thirds of what we pay now.

so I find it interesting that the party whose leader caused the problem is using the result of their actions to attack their opponent for possibly taking the action needed to resolve a problem he had nothing to do with and tried to prevent.

Watching the republican convention I was disgusted with the half truths and misrepresentations presented as fact and reality.

There were many attacks on the Democratic party and much talk about the suffering of McCain, but the same suffering of others caused by their leader was ignored. The cost to the world by the actions of their leader was ignored. And the need of their opponent to clean up their mess was chastized as a hardship caused by him and imposed by him upon the country.

This can be equated to the big brother who just threw his young un-attentive sibling an un-catchable ball, breaking the vase then yelling "He did it" when chastized by his mother.

I'm not thrilled with Obama and his naivity and lack of solid footing but the Republicans make me Ill with their continued lack of responsibility and misdirection of the facts.

I would like to see the ability of competing polititions to sue for redress of the lies told of them by the other party and the severe penalty for those who would use that ability for un-substanciated attacks. I would like to see false ads exposed by the news media without fear of retaliation by the white house.
Recently a 30 year veteran of the white house news corp was banished for a couple years because she dared to ask pertinant questions, while an inside ringer was allowed to ask questions intended to allow the answer to shine a nice light on the white house staff while diverting attention from the true actions needing questioning.

I'm still looking for that third party that will do what is needed for the country, in as kind and gentle maner as possibe without bending to those who would usurp the system for their own profit.

I am afraid I will be waiting a long while, but I still have hope.
I am afraid the only person who should be allowed in the Whitehouse is a person who would never wish to be there.
